The 45th single by Kanjani Eight, "Kimi to Mitai Sekai," is the theme song for the Fuji TV Thursday drama "Shitteru Wifufu," starring member Okura in the lead role (first broadcast on January 7th at 10:00 PM). This drama begins with a story about a protagonist who, while lamenting his married life with a jealous wife, who wishes to go back to those days and redo his life, suddenly time-slips into the past, and his wife is replaced. It depicts universal themes as a couple, such as "What kind of person is someone important to me?" and "What does it mean to live a life with someone?" as a heartfelt, fantastical love story.
Reflecting the world view of this drama, this work is a love ballad that marks a new stage for Kanjani Eight. For this song, vocal training and pre-production were carried out, resulting in a new frontier of vocals and music.
【First Press Limited Edition A】 includes a bonus video featuring the "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" music clip & solo angles, as well as a documentary DVD recording the "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" recording and PV singing scenes. The coupling track features "Seishun Hard Puncher," an encouraging song typical of Kanjani Eight, suitable for the seasons of meeting and parting.
Additionally, the jacket that colors the world view of "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" is an "Aurora Reflection Jacket" with a patented technology "LIGHT FORCE? Aurora Reflector," which is popular in apparel, printed on paper for the first time in the world. The coupling track features "Sweet & Bitter," a dance tune with sweet lyrics following "Bureure" and "WASABI." As a luxurious bonus, a silicone mold to make chocolates in the shape of the infinity symbol is included. It is heat resistant up to 240°C and cold resistant down to -40°C, suitable for making cookies and ice cream as well.
