Kanjani∞'s 45th single, "Kimi to Mitai Sekai," is the theme song for the Fuji TV Thursday drama "Shitteru Waiifu" (first broadcast on January 7th at 10:00 PM), starring member Okura. The story begins when the protagonist, a man who worries about his marriage to a fearsome wife and laments daily, "I want to go back to those days and restart my life!", suddenly time-slips into the past, and his wife is replaced. It is a fantasy, heartwarming love story that explores universal themes as a couple, such as "What kind of person is someone important to me?" and "What does it mean to live life with someone?"
Reflecting the world view of this drama, this new work by Kanjani∞ is a love ballad that marks a new stage for the group. For this song, vocal training and pre-production were carried out, resulting in a vocal and musical style that explores new territory.
【Limited Edition A】 includes a bonus video featuring the "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" Music Clip & Solo Angles, as well as a documentary DVD containing recordings of the "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" recording sessions and PV singing scenes. The coupling track is "Seishun Hard Puncher," a supportive song typical of Kanjani∞ that suits the seasons of meeting and parting.
The jacket that colors the world of "Kimi to Mitai Sekai" features the "Aurora Reflection Jacket" design, which is the first in the world to realize the patented "LIGHT FORCE Aurora Reflector" technology popular in apparel. When photographed with a smartphone's flash, the jacket glows in aurora colors, and the way it shines varies depending on the angle and lighting, making it enjoyable to look at repeatedly. Additionally, as a luxurious bonus, a "Kanjani∞ Aurora Reflection Mask" with the "Kuchibiru-kun" logo that glows like an aurora when flash-photographed is included.
【Limited Edition B】 features a special video titled "Kanjani∞'s Sweet Valentine ~A Little Cake Story~," perfect for the Valentine season, where members make chocolate cake for fans ("Eighters"). It also includes a bonus DVD with members whispering ASMR-style messages to fans ("Choko-tto ASMR"). The coupling track is "Sweet & Bitter," a dance tune with sweet lyrics, following "Bureure" and "WASABI." As a special bonus, a silicone mold to make chocolates in the shape of the group's symbol, the "∞" mark, is included. The mold is heat-resistant up to 240°C and cold-resistant down to -40°C, suitable for making cookies or ice cream. The jacket features the same "Aurora Reflection Jacket" design as Limited Edition A.
【Regular Edition】 includes the tracks "Sweet & Bitter," "Seishun Hard Puncher," and, continuing from the previous single "Re:LIVE," a song from the "Re:8EST" project sung by all five members, titled "Gamusha Rakuun ~Re:8EST Edition~."
