The story unfolds with a girl who was an outsider in her class, gaining courage through meeting a boy, making friends, and falling in love.
The director is Naoto Kumazawa.
He also wrote the screenplay with Rika Nezu, and while incorporating famous scenes and lines from the original work, they have created a story that everyone can relate to.
Mikako Tabe plays the role of Sawako Kuronuma.
Haruma Miura plays Shouta Kazehaya, who is popular regardless of gender and is listed not only in the work but also in the real world as a "manga character people want as a boyfriend."
The two, with their unwavering sense of purity, will recreate the world of "Kimi ni Todoke" on screen.
