The Kenko Circular PL (W) Filter uses a polarization film to adjust surface reflections and stray reflections of light, allowing for effects such as emphasizing contrast in blue skies, leaves, and buildings, as well as removing or enhancing reflections on glass and water surfaces. It is a standard item for effect filters. Especially in landscape photography, it is an essential filter that is active in many scenes. When photographing cherry blossoms in spring, the petals tend to appear whitish, but by using the Circular PL (W) Filter effectively, reflections on the petals can be suppressed, capturing their original light pink color. In autumn, it enhances the contrast of the blue sky when photographing autumn leaves, enabling clear, vivid shots. Conventional Circular PL filters have a standard frame thickness and could not be used with lenses of focal length 35mm or less, but the Circular PL (W) adopts a new thin frame, making it usable even with wide-angle lenses.
