Baobab continues to create diverse sounds based in the forest of Caterina in Yamaga. This album, produced following the great response to their 2023 Kazetsuchiuta tour, features numerous nostalgic yet new melodies recorded with a band set sound. Five years have passed since their previous work, "Kanata," a collaboration with haruka nakamura. Baobab's first full album under their own name in approximately 8 years, "Kazetsuchiuta," is released this autumn. This work was recorded dynamically and delicately in a single take at the gymnasium of a closed school in Yamaga Town, Oita Prefecture, Baobab's home base, alongside the band members who crafted the sound through their 2023 live tour in band formation. As Baobab celebrates 20 years of activity, they have consistently expressed their identity through transmitting artistic expression from regional areas, music that coexists with daily life, and sound creation inspired by all forms of nature since the beginning of their activities. Reflecting on these aspects once more, this album captures sounds that lightly express wind, earth, and indigenous sensibilities, recorded in a single take with a band formation as a unified work. The album features an irregular and experimental band sound, with Gen Tanabe participating on guitar and as recording engineer, Yutaka Suzuki on horns, Naoya Wada on bass, and Takeshi Maeda, formerly of Kodo, on taiko percussion, creating a new breeze and a unique worldview.
