These designs are based on everyday, ordinary objects and shapes found in our lives.
Starting from their beauty and charm, we create patterns using various art materials such as watercolor paints and pencils.
The fabric features delicate and light prints that preserve the natural bleeding of colors and wavering lines.
Made from 100% cotton double gauze fabric with a soft texture.
This large-sized fabric is highly absorbent, dries quickly, and is effective for wiping.
KAYOAOYAMA (Yoshiyo Aoyama)
After graduating from university, she studied textile pattern design at HDK Gothenburg University of Art, Craft and Design in Sweden. After gaining experience with a Swedish wallpaper manufacturer and a Japanese fashion brand, she began working as a freelance designer in 2012. Since 2014, she has been developing her original brand “KAYOAOYAMA,” creating patterns that are visually pleasing and evoke a sense of comfort, inspired by the desire to decorate everyday life with flowers and plants.
Highlights
She has drawn plants such as mistletoe, cotoneaster, clematis, ikema, viola, false lily of the valley, rosemary, oak, and Iwamitsuba. Some of these are somewhat niche varieties, but she chose and illustrated plants based on shapes she wanted to depict.
