After graduating from university, she studied textile pattern design at HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. After gaining experience at a Swedish wallpaper manufacturer and a Japanese fashion brand, she began working as a freelancer in 2012. Since 2014, she has been developing her original brand "KAYOAOYAMA," which creates patterns that are comfortable to look at, inspired by her desire to decorate her life with flowers and plants.
