テンダーは仕切・増炭囲い・重油タンク周りの形状や妻面の配管、蒸気管の表現など、現在の外観を再現。
先輪・従輪はスポーク車輪を採用。
フライホイールを搭載した動力は、機関部はもちろん、テンダー車輪からも集電し、安定した走行が可能。
実車同様ボイラーと台枠間の隙間や、穴の開いたボックス動輪の輪心を表現。
シリンダー尻棒案内、キャブ下台枠、ランボードの網目模様などの細部もリアルに再現。
