The 485 series, a representative limited express train from the Japanese National Railways era. It recreates the appearance of the mid-1970s when it ran across the country with cream and red body colors. This product features a full renewal of the 485 series 300 series during its peak period after the October 1978 timetable revision, when it adopted illustrated headmarks.
The expansion set includes two intermediate motor cars, Moha 484/485, available in two types: the early model and the late model, called the 200 series.
- The early model is equipped with mushroom-shaped coolers.
- The late model features Moha 484 with concentrated cooler AU71A, and Moha 485 with dispersed cooler AU13E.
By combining the basic set with two types of expansion sets (late and early models), you can recreate and enjoy various train formations.
- Each car's intermediate connection point is equipped with a standard body-mount type KATO coupler, close coupling type.
- *Note:* It is not compatible with the older 485 series products (#10-391/10-392/4028~).
