昭和50年 (1975)前後の急行列車として活躍した全盛期の形態をフルリニューアルで製品化。 先頭車のカバー付きタイフォンや、サハ455が組み込まれた編成など、北陸地区で活躍した475系の特徴を再現。 先頭車の屋根に設置された丸形台座検電アンテナを再現。 ステップを備えた客扉を持つボディ、交直流電車特有の屋根上の配線を的確に再現。 モハ474-16はパンタグラフ下のルーバーが3列に配置された初期車の形態、その他のモハ474はが片側6列に配置された冷房改造車の形態を再現。 赤13号 (小豆色)のボディ＋クリーム4号の帯の国鉄時代の急行形交直流電車標準塗装を美しく表現。 スロットレスモーターの採用で、スムースかつ静粛な走行性を実現。 スナップオン台車採用。 カプラーは先頭・中間車とも新性能電車用のボディマウント密連カプラー (フックなし)を装備。また別パーツの胴受を任意で取り付けることが可能。 先頭車は1・9・12号車がヘッドライト/テールライト、前面表示点灯 (消灯スイッチ付)。 1号車 (クハ455-60)、12号車 (クモハ475-16)以外の先頭車は前面ホロ取付済。クハ45
