A natural fragrance using only refined and timeless Jinko (Agarwood)
This incense is made by binding precious agarwood (Jinko) with a small amount of binder. Please enjoy the powerful, deep, and elegant fragrance of natural agarwood.
This agarwood has a slightly spicy note. This incense was originally created by special request for an exhibition at the ancient temple Bairin-ji in Kurume, our local area. A portion was sold at department stores nationwide and sold out.
Following many requests from customers, we have produced this incense in a limited quantity for this occasion. Please take this opportunity to try it.
For a standard room, half the length is sufficient without burning the whole stick. You can break it into appropriate lengths to suit your preference, and the fragrance will still fill the space. The aroma remains unchanged even after long-term storage.
Bairin-ji: Kurume City, Fukuoka PrefectureAlso known as Kōnan-zan Bairin Zen-ji, it has been the ancestral temple of the successive lords of the Kurume domain since its founding in the 7th year of Genna (1621). It is a training center for monks of the Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism, Myōshin-ji branch, and monks continue to train there today. The calligraphy on the wooden box for this product is by the 32nd Abbot of Myōshin-ji, the head temple of the Rinzai school, the Venerable Tokai Daiko.
