kanekoayano / Ishi no Ito (LP)
The 1st album by the band kanekoayano, led by Ayano Kaneko, is now available on vinyl! The album "Ishi no Ito," surprise-released digitally on April 25th by the band kanekoayano, led by Ayano Kaneko. This is the first full album in approximately two years since their previous release "Towaruketto wa Odoru," and the first under the band name "kanekoayano" since last August.
After a year of pre-production with guitarist Hirotoshi Hayashi and bassist Takuyaiizuka, the five-member group, newly joined by drummer Seinagahata and percussionist Ryotaro Miyasaka as support members, recorded all songs in approximately two weeks. The 10 tracks, including re-recordings of "Lucky" and "Sabishikunai," inherit Ayano Kaneko's signature folk-like aspects while significantly increasing the freedom of arrangement. Psychedelic songs become more psychedelic, and songs approaching Krautrock and Dub have evolved/deepened into more experimental territory, incorporating congas and steel pans to depict various scenes for each song. This is a truly band-like work where each member's individuality is reflected in the music more than ever before. The jacket artwork is an original illustration by artist TIDE.
