【Overview】
Released on Blu-ray, this includes two works that directly address the drama of the modified humans (Kamen Riders) envisioned by Shotaro Ishinomori, first released in 2005:
- "Kamen Rider THE FIRST," which depicts the story of Takeshi Hongo (Kamen Rider 1) and Hayato Ichimonji (Kamen Rider 2), based on the manga by Ishinomori.
- "Kamen Rider THE NEXT" (2007), featuring Shiro Kazami (Kamen Rider V3), as a sequel.

The director of "Kamen Rider THE FIRST," based on Ishinomori’s manga, is Takao Nagatani, who has been involved with the series from the original "Kamen Rider" through the "Heisei Rider Series."
The director of "Kamen Rider THE NEXT," which emphasizes the "mysteriousness" as a key element of the early Kamen Rider, is Ryuuta Tazaki, one of the main directors of the "Heisei Rider Series."
The scripts for both works were written by Toshiki Inoue, who has handled many TV and movie scripts for the "Heisei Rider Series."
The series' top motorcycle and real combat action was directed by Makoto Yokoyama.

This high-quality Blu-ray release revives the idealized "Kamen Rider" movies for adult fans, blending old and new.

【Story】
**"Kamen Rider THE FIRST"**
At first glance, human society appears peaceful, but behind the scenes, a mysterious organization called "Shocker" is operating in the shadows without anyone knowing...

Young scientist Hongo Takeshi, researching water crystals at the Jounan University Graduate School, is abducted one day by a sinister man wearing a bat mask.
Shocker, the organization behind the abduction, performs a special operation on Hongo, transforming him into a modified human—Kamen Rider 1—controlling him as a weapon.

Meanwhile, magazine journalist Midorikawa Asuka is investigating urban legends about "monsters" appearing in the city. She and her fiancé, Yano Katsuhiko, pursue the last eyewitnesses, but suddenly, a monster with a spider mask—Spider—and a Hopper appear before them.
Hopper attempts to attack Katsuhiko, but through a chance, Hongo regains his consciousness. Hongo tries to save Katsuhiko from Spider, but Katsuhiko has already died. Asuka, witnessing this, mistakenly believes Hongo killed Katsuhiko and feels intense hatred toward him.

Meanwhile, Shocker betrays Hongo, planning to eliminate him. They prepare a new modified human, who resembles Hongo’s transformed form, Kamen Rider 2, and a man who looks exactly like Katsuhiko—Hayato Ichimonji.

**"Kamen Rider THE NEXT"** (multi-ending version)
Two years after Hongo Takeshi and Hayato Ichimonji betrayed Shocker, Hongo lives a normal life as a high school teacher.
However, a series of brutal murders occur, with victims having their faces mutilated, and strange rumors spread that the crime scenes are always accompanied by the music of the popular idol Chiharu.

One day, Hongo and a student, Koto Mi Kikuma, head to her friend Chiharu’s apartment.
They are greeted by a fake Chiharu with a mutilated face, and a new group of Shocker modified humans—Chainsaw Lizard—and Shocker Riders.
Hongo fights them, allowing Kikuma to escape, and transforms to confront them, but struggles.

To understand the situation further, they visit Shiro Kazami, Chiharu’s brother.
Kazami, along with the Shocker Riders, attacks Hongo. It turns out he is V3, a modified human created through nanorobot surgery by Shocker.
