This figure was created using the original 1-meter-plus maquette as a master mold—the very same maquette sculpted by Takayuki Takeya to determine the form and coloring of Godzilla for the film "Shin Godzilla." This is a supreme figure that serves as a valuable historical record of the blockbuster film "Shin Godzilla," a landmark in the history of Japanese special effects.
The figure is molded using a method that most faithfully reproduces the original prototype, combining a mold-making process derived from resin prototype baking with the latest molding technology. This minimizes the deformation and shrinkage that typically occur during mass production in standard lost-wax soft vinyl manufacturing.
Rather than using conventional assembly-line painting methods, we have succeeded in mass-producing a finish that looks as if it were handcrafted by a master painter. You can enjoy a finish reminiscent of a one-off custom piece, rather than the mechanical paintwork often seen in previous mass-produced figures.
The original molds of the prototype are faithfully reproduced. The notion that "soft vinyl products have soft details" is a thing of the past; this soft vinyl product has been finished with sharp details that look just like a resin reproduction.
