メタルジグの基本的な使い方は、大きく分けるとただ巻き、ジャーキングの2つですが、このうちジャーキングに焦点を合わせ開発したのがこのステイフォール!ジャーキングの方法で釣果を出しているひとつが黒豹ジャーク(ジャークで魚に興味を持たせ、フォールで喰わせる)という方法!【3回ジャーク(リールも3回巻く)しフォール、また3回ジャークしてフォールを繰り返す】という言葉では簡単そうですが、フォール動作に入る時に一瞬ロッドティップを下げ意図的にラインスラッグを出しています。そうすることでメタルジグが持っている本来の動きを最大限活かし、バイトに持ち込むことができるのです。そして度重なる研究の結果、ラインスラッグを出す動作をしなくても、水中でステイし喰わせの間を演出することができるメタルジグメタルエフェクトステイフォールが完成しました!一般的なカタクチのスリムなシルエットで喰わせの間をつくることは水抜けが早く不向きでした。しかし、このステイフォールではジグの側面に窪みを設け水を嚙ませることで、水中で一瞬ステイさせることを可能にしました。水中にただステイし、フォールしている状態ではボディーが動かずフラッシングができないのでアピール力に欠けます。従って、窪みのエッジ部分を片側だけなだらかにすることにより水が抜けるきっかけを作りました。これにより、シミーフォールしながらフラッシングを行い木の葉状にスライドしていきます。重心はセンターより、ややリアバランスにすることで飛距離も確保しストレス無くキャストができます。リア側に重心が寄っているとフォール時に水平姿勢ではなくなるのでは・と思われるかもしれませんが、これも窪み部全体で水を受けることで水平フォールを可能にしています。喰わせの間を最大限に演出できるメタルエフェクトステイフォール、その能力を体感してください。
