These superb live concerto recordings are now released all at once, and in stereo. The collaborating conductors are also magnificent. Brahms is a favorite repertoire with multiple recordings already released, but this is the first stereo recording to appear. Kondrashin's dignified and splendid accompaniment is impressive! For Beethoven, since the studio recording with Kubelík and the live recording with Ančerl were both monaural, the collaboration with the genius Segerstam is most welcome.
Britten and Sibelius are also favorite repertoires, known for their masterpiece recording with Berglund, and this disc is filled with the vitality unique to live performances. It's also wonderful that she introduces Bach as an encore in her characteristic sexy voice after playing Britten. Ravel and Chausson are also intense performances that convey passion and fiery spirit. Sweden is a familiar land for her, and she has performed there repeatedly.
