This story depicts a new style of drama centered around the theme "Can friendship exist between men and women?" with producer Ken Murase and screenwriter Miku Ukata, who previously collaborated on the social phenomenon "silent" (aired October 2022).

The protagonists are four men and women who have led separate lives. Despite differences in age, gender, and upbringing, one day they face human relationships related to "friendship" and "romance," such as:
- "The only opposite-sex friend I trusted has become no longer just a friend after getting married."
- "My girlfriend, whom I was considering marrying, was taken by her male friend."
- "I just want to be friends, but because we're of the opposite sex, it's automatically seen as romantic."
- "I thought everyone in my circle was my friend, but before I knew it, I had no one I could truly speak honestly with."

Their circumstances and ways of thinking are completely different, but through a chance encounter triggered by a small event, they begin to confront the themes of "friendship" and "romance."

The stories of the four, which were once separate, gradually intertwine into one narrative. The story carefully depicts the emotions that develop between the four and those surrounding them, exploring "what is truly important," making it a new era story of "friendship" and also a story of "love," including "romance."

【Synopsis】
34-year-old Shio Yukué (Mikako Tabe), a teacher at "Onodera Juku" cram school, feels she has been bad at forming pairs since childhood. However, she has a unique male friend, Kotaro Akada (Taiga Nakano), whom she has trusted since her school days.

36-year-old Tsubaki Haruki (Kohei Matsushita), working at "Shiranami Publishing," is about to get married. Tsubaki, who has never been able to form a pair since childhood, is now seeking a partner as a spouse.

Yayoi Miyuki (Mio Imada), a 26-year-old beautician working at the "Snail" beauty salon, is afraid of facing people one-on-one.

27-year-old Momiji Sato (Fuju Kamio) works at a convenience store while dreaming of becoming an illustrator. He has felt that he has no one to truly face him one-on-one since childhood.

As usual, Yukué was meeting with Kotaro at karaoke. The difference this time was that Kotaro announced he was getting married. A few days later, Yukué was suddenly told by Kotaro that he was breaking up, because his fiancée, who was a female friend of Yukué, did not approve of her.

Tsubaki was enjoying choosing furniture for his new home with his girlfriend, Junren Koiwai (Asami Usuda). However, Tsubaki's fiancée was taken away by her "male friend," and the wedding plans were put on hold.

Yayoi went out drinking with a colleague from the salon, but was pressured into a relationship beyond friendship and became frustrated, questioning why they couldn't just be friends.

One day, Momiji visits a certain house. The person who comes out is Tsubaki. It turns out that the person Momiji was visiting had already moved out, and Tsubaki, who was supposed to be living with Junren, was actually living there. At the same time, Yukué and Yayoi also visit, and four men and women of different ages, genders, and backgrounds come face to face…
