This is a high-definition recording hard disk that allows you to enjoy recorded programs from your TV anywhere in the house, and also view them on smartphones and tablets. Connecting a USB-HDD to the USB terminal on the back increases recording capacity. The connected USB-HDD can be used not only to transfer recorded programs but also to record directly from the tuner. This product is a high-definition recording hard disk that allows you to enjoy recorded programs from your TV anywhere in the house. With RECBOX, if it supports DTCP-IP, you can play back even if the TV changes, so you can store recordings without worry in case of sudden failure or when replacing your TV in the future.


Enjoy programs anywhere inside the house

Programs dubbed to RECBOX can be played back on DTCP-IP compatible TVs connected to the home network. Compatible models include Toshiba's high-definition LCD TVs Regza and Sony's Bravia. Even if your TV does not support DTCP-IP, you can still play back high-definition programs stored on devices like PlayStation 3. You can share and play high-definition programs throughout the house.

Difference from USB-connected recording HDDs

In the case of USB-connected recording HDDs, high-definition programs can be recorded, but cannot be played back on TVs other than the one used for recording. Programs dubbed to RECBOX can be played back on any TV that supports DTCP-IP.

You can transfer programs recorded on Sky PerfecTV! DVR's built-in hard disk or external USB hard disks to RECBOX via LAN. Additionally, if using PT-SH700A, it supports Sky PerfecTV! Premium Service Link Transfer Dubbing, enabling the use of RECBOX's automatic dubbing feature.

From the RECBOX settings screen, you can create folders and organize your favorite content by folder. Organizing programs by category makes searching for recorded programs faster and easier.







Save HDD capacity

Industry-first support for multi-count, which allows multiple copies of dubbing counts. Repeatedly dubbing or moving the same program manages it as a single item, saving HDD space. Also effective as a backup in case of failure. Furthermore, if HVL-RS or LS series devices are used, moving with dubbing counts is possible.


Expandable USB HDD support

Connecting a USB hard disk to the rear USB terminal increases recording capacity. The connected USB HDD can be used to transfer recorded programs and to record directly from the tuner. Increasing recording capacity allows for storing more programs.
