ラジエターとはエンジンのシリンダー内部の混合気が爆発燃焼することによって高温になったウオータージャケット内の冷却水をウオーターポンプにより循環させ、走行風や放熱により水温を安定させる役割があります。
走行風が当たりやすく放熱効果が高い、エンジン前面やヘッドランプの下部に設置されています。
低速走行が続いたり、アイドリングで停車中の時や外気温が高い夏場では冷却性能が追い付かないため、ラジエターの後ろに電動冷却ファンが備えられ放熱します。
路面の落下物が前走車に跳ね上げられラジエターにぶつかり破損してしまった場合、そのままだとオーバーヒートしてエンジンまで被害が及びますので交換が必要になります。
交換も高価な純正部品を使うのではなく、純正部品同等のリーズナブルな社外品を使用することによってコストを抑えることができます。
純正品と同形状ですので、純正ホースも使用可能でアッセンブリー交換ができます。
ラジエターに異常はないか日常点検により早めに故障を発見できますので、冷却水漏れやコアの破損がありましたら交換をお勧めします。
