The world-famous communication board game "Dixit" and Disney, celebrating its 100th anniversary, have joined forces for a dream collaboration.
"Dixit: Disney Edition" is a standalone, playable set within the Dixit universe, featuring familiar characters from Disney and Pixar films.
84 new cards by illustrator Nathalie Donnes, inspired by iconic Disney and Pixar movies from "Steamboat Willie" to "Turning Red," will captivate players.
It can also be played by swapping cards with the Dixit base game or any of the 10 previously released Dixit expansion sets.
"Dixit" means "(he/she) said" in Latin, and in France, it's a word used to mock baseless claims.
In this game, each player holds 6 cards, and players take turns being the storyteller.
The storyteller chooses one card from their hand, says a word associated with the illustration, and other players choose one card from their hand that they think is most related to that word.
After everyone has submitted a card, the storyteller shuffles them and lays them out. Players other than the storyteller then vote for the card they believe the storyteller chose.
Points are awarded based on the voting results.
If everyone guesses correctly or everyone guesses incorrectly, the storyteller does not receive points, so the storyteller is encouraged to use words that are neither too obvious nor too obscure.
