Twenty years ago, when we first envisioned organic cultivation, the term was still unfamiliar even within the industry.

Despite this, we searched for farmers who could grow tea leaves without pesticides or chemical fertilizers during the cultivation period, and directly partnered with farmers who could truly practice organic cultivation, separate from regular tea gardens.

We have worked sincerely on tea production, ensuring transparency about when, where, who, and how the tea was produced, as well as thoroughly managing subsequent manufacturing processes.

In 1996, the Japan Organic & Natural Foods Association (the predecessor of JAS) dispatched inspectors who examined and approved that our tea from cultivation to packaging was genuinely organically grown, thus granting Japan’s first "Organic Certification."

This was a groundbreaking event at a time when many products claimed to be "organic" without proper certification, and it was widely covered by the media.

- Why our products remain affordable despite strict JAS standards

Following green tea, in 1998, black tea and barley tea also obtained "Organic Certification."

Even with the stricter standards introduced in the 2000 revision of JAS, which succeeded the standards from JONA, we successfully passed and continued to acquire organic JAS certification for multiple products.

Currently, over 40 products have received organic JAS certification.
