The condition shows lines of dirt on the fold lines around the body as shown in the close-up images, but
there are no particularly noticeable stains or dirt, and it is in very good condition.
The local Chikuzen Hakata weaving is
a silk fabric produced in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and its surroundings.
It features geometric patterns based on the trident and flower dish, which are Buddhist ritual implements.
Since Nagamasa Kuroda, the lord of the Chikuzen domain during the Edo period, made it a gift for the shogunate,
it is also called Hakata gift or gift Hakata.
It is woven with a technique called 'okie weaving,' which makes the horizontal ridges stand out.
Because it uses 30 to 60 thin weft threads, it has firmness and resilience,
a stiff texture, and a glossy appearance.
It is said to be a tightly woven, durable, and easy-to-tie obi that does not loosen easily.
This is a very high-quality piece.
We are offering it at a low price, so please take this opportunity to consider it.
