which is a silk textile produced in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
It features geometric patterns based on the Buddhist ritual objects Dokkō and flower dishes.
Due to Kuroda Nagamasa, the lord of the Chikuzen domain during the Edo period, offering it to the shogunate,
it is also called Hakata Offering or Offering Hakata.
It is woven with a technique called "Kohime Ori," which makes the horizontal ridges stand out.
Using 30 to 60 fine warp threads, it has a firm texture,
a stiff fabric with a glossy appearance.
It is known as a well-tied, hard-to-fall-apart, easy-to-wear obi.
