5: Kanazawa-born Kazuhiro Teranishi, a Kaga Yuzen artist, was born in 1940 (Showa 15).

6: He is a direct descendant of the official dyeing shop 'Teranishi Konyo Saburoemon', a family permitted to carry the Kaga domain's family crest and sword since the Edo period.

7: He is the eldest son of Konyo Teranishi Sanroemon.

8: After graduating from university, he worked at a color manufacturer, conducting research on color science and color coordination.

9: At age 32, he took over the family business (Kaga Yuzen dyeing shop),

10: and at age 35, he became an independent Kaga Yuzen artist.

11: He has received awards such as the Kaga Yuzen New Works Competition, the Raicho-kai Award and Excellence Award, and the Kaga Dyeing Creative Competition Encouragement Award.

12: His style features motifs of wildflowers, Chaya Tsuji, and classical patterns, characterized by soft, gentle colors.
