This phrase is the credo of Rakufurin, which has been upheld since its founding by Rakufurin.
Founder Take Horie, through interactions with many cultural figures such as Masako Shirasu, Kanjiro Kawai, and Shiko Munakata,
sharpened his aesthetic sensibilities and traveled around the world during a time when overseas travel was still rare.
He collected and studied textiles and crafts from all over the world, past and present, and
incorporated the images he felt from them into the making of obi belts.
The obi belts created by Rakufurin, which were crafted through this process, have a charm that makes kimono wearers think, "I want to try wearing it at least once."
In 1923, founder Take Horie began training at Nishijin obi fabric wholesaler "Miyake Kiyoshi Shoten".
In 1952, he adopted the trade name "Rakufurin" and started producing craft obi fabrics.
In 1963, published by Kyoto Shoin, the special issue "Beauty and Crafts" featured "Rakufurin."

In 1966, another special issue "Rakufurin (Second Issue)" was published by Kyoto Shoin.
In 1977, his eldest son Tetsuo Horie became president.
In 1980, published "Craft Obi Fabric Rakufurin Hundred Selections."
In 2011, his eldest daughter Reiko Horie became president.
For the production of obi fabric, the company does not own its own looms,
but instead commissions weaving from loom weavers called Rakufurin members, such as Nishijin weavers.
