9: Utilizing the elasticity of the warp threads, it has a unique crinkled texture
10: full of rustic charm, and above all, the pattern woven with pre-dyed threads

徳島県の伝統的な綿織物で、
国によって伝統的工芸品に指定されている阿波しじら織。
かつて徳島藩では庶民の絹織物の着用が禁じられており、
綿織物をよりお洒落に楽しみたいという人々の思いから生まれた織物です。
経糸の伸縮性を利用した、独特のしぼのある風合いが
素朴な魅力に満ちていて、なんといっても先染め糸で
織り表された柄が気取らないお洒落さを感じさせます。
また、木綿の肌触りも大変優しくさらさらしており、
吸湿性に優れていますので蒸れずに快適な着物姿を楽しめます。
