This is a work by the Kaga Yuzen artist, Mr. Tomozo Naratake.
Tomozo Naratake, a Kaga Yuzen artist, was born in Kanazawa City in 1903.
After training in Kyoto and Tokyo, Naratake returned to his hometown and studied under the Nihonga painter Enkatsu Nakakichi,
acquiring his own sketching ability and pattern composition, and
became a leading artist of Kaga Yuzen.
He was also active as a Nihonga painter, creating numerous works that were selected for the Nitten exhibition, and
later served as a judge for the Nitten.
