【Pure silk】
The obi has only been tied once or twice,
There is some yellowing around the waist as shown in the close-up images.
The genuine Chikuzen Hakata Ori is a silk fabric produced in Fukuoka City Hakata Ward and its surrounding areas.
It features geometric patterns based on Buddhist ritual implements such as the dokko and flower dishes.
Since Kuroda Nagamasa, the lord of the Chikuzen domain during the Edo period, presented it to the shogunate,
it is also called Hakata Presentation or Presentation Hakata.
It is woven with a technique called 'okome-ori' that makes the horizontal ridges stand out.
Using 30 to 60 fine weft threads, it has firmness and resilience,
a stiff texture, and a glossy appearance.
It is said to be a well-tied, hard-to-lose, easy-to-tie obi.
Since it is a very high-quality item, we recommend you take good care of it and wear it.
We are offering it at a low price, so please take this opportunity.
