Created by a modern master, holder of the intangible cultural property for Awa indigo dyeing techniques, designated by the national government.
19th-generation indigo dyer, Mr. Akihito Sato.
Tokushima is known as the birthplace of the indigo dye "Sukumo," which is the basis for this dyeing process.
The tradition is still carried on today,
and Sukumo produced in Tokushima is called Awa indigo.
This is a beautiful piece of Awa indigo dyeing, processed through natural ash fermentation by Mr. Akihito Sato.

Since it is a very high-quality item, we recommend taking care of it and wearing it.
