After completing his training period, he joined Sansai Some Koge.
As the second generation, he visited clients and honed his skills.
He studied under the Japanese painter Sanrakuki Kano, a friend of his father,
and received advice on drawing, from brushstrokes to sketching plants.
A kimono magazine featured an "Parent-Child Creation Exhibition,"
and Sansai's kimonos were innovative, leading to a flood of orders from actresses and models.
He devoted himself to "kimono making that delights the wearer."
In 1966, he became president of the company and changed the company name to Sansai Co., Ltd.
His solo exhibitions, where he presented new works as a dyeing artist, numbered 35,
and he also organized and led successful kimono shows in large venues.
His color schemes, which broke the conventions of Japanese clothing, were criticized by the industry as "sixty (sai) base colors with twenty (sai) patterns," but
his original color tones were accepted by the market, establishing a style called "Sansai-cho."
