"Hon-Shiozawa" differs from the general "Shiozawa Tsumugi" in that,
both warp and weft threads are made from raw silk spun from silk cocoons.
The warp threads are twisted 350 times per meter,
and the weft threads are twisted an additional 1800 times.
Because of this strong twisted thread, a textured surface similar to chirimen (crepe) is created.
The crisp "shari" feeling and texture that feels "shari-shari" is
a characteristic unique to Hon-Shiozawa.
