For us, who wish to widely promote Japan's spirit and traditional craftsmanship, this is an unsatisfactory situation. However, mass production by machines cannot possibly express the techniques of Musashi, which have been handed down through generations.

For warriors in turbulent times, armor was not only a piece of military equipment but also a symbol of faith, wishing for prosperity of descendants and military achievements. Inspired by this spirit, armor craftsmen challenged themselves to create with pride, not losing to the hearts of the samurai. In that sense, creating masterpieces is akin to reflecting the hearts of great generals today. Such expressions are beyond the reach of machines. From now on, Musashi promises to continue making masterpieces. With the pride of a Kyoto armor craftsman.

**Heian Bukyū**
One of the three major brands of Kyoto armor craftsmen, alongside Ichimizu and Awataguchi Kiyoshin, is "Musashi." The first generation, Heian Bukyū (Saji Kyuzaburō), was born in Kyoto as the eldest son of the previous generation, Saji Jūichi, and his wife, the first Chihaya (a person recognized for traditional craft techniques and achievements in Kyoto). He learned traditional techniques and spirit, and in Showa 48 (1973), he succeeded the name Heian Bukyū II. His activities after succeeding the name truly lived up to the reputation of Heian Bukyū, and in Showa 60 (1985), he was appointed director of the Kyoto Doll Industry Cooperative. In Heisei 3 (1991), he became chairman of the Kyoto Doll Industry Cooperative. In Heisei 20 (2008), he received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays, among other honors, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the Kyoto armor world. Subsequently, the traditional techniques were inherited by the third generation, Tetsuya Saji. His craftsmanship exudes the richness unique to Kyoto craftsmanship, embodying the luxury of traditional Kyoto armor.

**Katoka Byōbu Store**
The only specialized folding screen shop in Tokyo. Since its founding in 1946 in Sumida, Tokyo, it has specialized in manufacturing folding screens for seasonal festivals, hotel venues, and decoration. The store also manages a folding screen museum, offers folding screen-making experiences, and actively promotes and preserves folding screen culture. A company dedicated to conveying Japan’s traditional beauty through folding screens.

**Hawk Feather Bow and Sword**
The feathers used for bows and swords are mainly selected from birds with beautiful patterns. Sometimes, plain white feathers from waterfowl (ducks) with printed beautiful patterns are used. The types include owls, golden chickens, pheasants, and others. Among these, the most rare and beautiful is the "hawk." Hawks are considered symbols of the samurai spirit, and their noble, strong, and brave appearance was highly admired. In arrow feathers, hawk (raptor) feathers were regarded as a mark of a warrior’s refinement, representing dignity and martial valor, and were permitted only for high-ranking samurai. Ordinary soldiers used miscellaneous feathers. Even soldiers who were shot in battle considered hawk feathers to be noble, feeling honored by the feathers of their opponents.
