Want to record a concert with the same quality as studio recording.
This idea was born from the long-standing desire of recording engineer Tetsuya Abe.
The project is called "Headphone Concert."
"A recording like a concert. A concert like a recording."
This unprecedented and mysterious project took place on February 18 and 19, 2021, at Sunheart Hall in Yokohama City, with four performances, each inviting 40 people as "witnesses."

Using microphones and equipment from a recording studio,
to directly record the live sounds of singing and instruments,
all sound equipment such as speakers used in normal concerts was not used,
instead, the audience listened to high-resolution audio sources through headphones just like the performers.
As a result, even delicate sounds such as breathing, which are usually inaudible in regular concerts, could be experienced.

Furthermore, with quality comparable to a recording studio,
the lively performance and a sense of tension, which are characteristic of concerts, were also simultaneously recorded.

Concerts and recordings.
Their respective merits, which cannot be directly compared on the same level,
are explored to see how close they can get to each other and still be successful. This is, in a sense, an "experimental attempt," and a rare work born from it.

About the Artist

As a child, belonged to the Himawari Theater Group, appeared in dramas as a child actor. Participated as a backing chorus member in the role of "Old Man and Child Polka" by the renowned actor Hidari Bokuzan, as part of "Himawari Kittys." In late teens, sang bluegrass and country music at live houses, debuted as Le Couple in 1994. In 1997, the hit "Hidamari no Uta" sold 1.8 million copies.
Starting a solo project in 2001, released the first "camomile" album. During the period of the SARS outbreak and the Asian financial crisis, it was praised as "ear medicine" and suddenly became a hit in Hong Kong. Subsequently, it spread to Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries, earning platinum and gold discs. In Japan, a best album released in 2007 was highly praised by Tomoaki Ogura on the opening of Fuji TV's "Tokudane!" leading to a surge in CD orders, with sales exceeding 400,000 copies including Asia. In 2019, released the fifth album "camomile colors" after 8 years, also sold on vinyl records. In June 2020, released a Japanese cover album "Kokoro no Jikan," and in December, an LP version was also released.
Additionally, as a lifelong project since 2010, based on the idea of "not eliminating bullying but increasing kindness," she has been holding "OMOIYARI Music Festivals" mainly in elementary schools, where children think about "kindness" through music and sign language. She has visited over 180 locations and has had over 33,000 participants in choir performances.
