【武将について】
井伊 直政（いい なおまさ）は、戦国時代から安土桃山時代にかけての武将・大名。井伊氏第20代当主。上野国高崎藩の初代藩主。後に近江国彦根藩の初代藩主。
徳川氏の家臣。遠江国井伊谷の出身（現在の静岡県西部）、江戸幕府を支えた井伊氏の手本となり、現在の群馬県高崎市と滋賀県彦根市の発展の基礎を築いた人物でもある。
知勇兼備・文武両道の勇将であるか工特に他国大名との外交・交涉能力に長けており、部下に厳しく、些細なミスも許さず手討ちにすることから「人斬り兵部」と畏怖されている。家康の本陣に忍び込んだ武田方の間者を討ち取ったり、関ヶ原の合戦においては強引に先陣を切るなど、荒武者としてのエピソードが多く残る。
