【武将について】
本多 忠勝（ほんだ ただかつ）は、戦国時代から江戸時代前期にかけての武将・大名。徳川氏の家臣。上総大多喜藩初代藩主、伊勢桑名藩初代藩主。忠勝系本多家宗家初代。
本姓は藤原氏。通称は平八郎（へいはちろう）〇徳川四天王・徳川十六神将・徳川三傑に数えられ、家康の功臣として現在も顕彰されている。
本多忠勝は、1600年の「関ヶ原の戦い」で東軍の最高司令官である「軍監」を務める。作戦指揮を担当していたが、本多忠勝は自ら手勢を率いて首級を挙げた。
この功績によって、関ヶ原の戦いの翌年1601年には、上総国大多喜城から伊勢国桑名（現在の三重県桑名市）10万石に移封され城郭や宿場などの整備に力を入れて、名君と呼ばれるようになった。
