The P-40 Series was deployed in all theaters of World War II not only as the main fighter of the United States Army Air Forces but also as a key fighter for the Allied forces. Its excellent mass production capability, ease of handling, and durability allowed it to be used for ground attack and bomber interception missions. The P-40E was the first mass-produced model, with approximately 2,300 units built. Compared to the previous D-type, it features reinforced armor and armament, enhancing its practicality.
The kit features an accurate exterior shape and a parts structure designed for easy assembly. The canopy can be assembled in either open or closed position. The front and rear parts of the canopy are integrated with the fuselage panels and molded in clear plastic, making them easy to glue and resulting in a clean finish. A seated pilot figure is included. The decals include two markings sets from aircraft of the United States Army Air Forces.
