This model inherits the development concept of the Jota, which was based on the 1968 Miura P400S and suffered a total loss accident.
Modifications began in November 1975 and the car was shipped in April of the following year. The engine was converted to dry-sump and tuned to 400ps/8500rpm with a V12 DOHC.
Along with the engine reinforcement, modifications were made to the chassis, including the dampers, stabilizers, and disc brakes.
Externally, it was specially named SVR due to its unique details such as the fixed headlamps, air outlets at the rear of the fenders, largely flared rear fender flares, BBS mesh wheels housed within those flares, and the rear wing located at the rear of the roof.
