harukanakamura / Aoi Mori IV - Music for Tsutaya Books (CD)
The fourth installment in the Tsutaya Books music album project! Musician harukanakamura was in charge of the in-store music for several Tsutaya Books locations nationwide for one year, from 2023 to 2024. All songs are newly written for the Tsutaya Books project. Titled "Aoi Mori" (Blue Forest), connecting to Nakamura's hometown of Aomori, the theme is "forest," the concept of a bookstore that handles books and the birthplace of instruments like the piano and guitar. Four albums will be produced during the period until autumn 2024.
The final work was recorded using his father's acoustic guitar, which he has played since his teens, and a gut-string guitar gifted to him from Nujabes and the hydeout label during the production of the album "MELODICA." Blended with synthesizers introduced in the Aoi Mori series, this new music evokes a nostalgic sound reminiscent of his early works "grace" and "nica," before he began playing the piano seriously.
This album, filled with a sense of joy and hope befitting a final work, is like arriving at a sunlit garden, as expressed in the jacket photo by Rinko Kawauchi.
The unified conceptual design of the Aoi Mori series allows for the CD album to be presented as a beautifully bound item, perfect for display in a room.
