**[Product Content]**
Hanzawa Naoki (Masato Sakai), the loan manager at the Osaka West Branch of Tokyo Central Bank, is a "bubble-era entrant" who joined the bank during the late bubble economy. About 20 years have passed, and he has become part of the core generation within the bank.
Shinobu Watari (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), working in the Tokyo Main Branch Loan Department, is a peer of Hanzawa and has been a close friend since their entry. He frequently offers advice and continues to support Hanzawa.
At home, his wife Hana (Aya Ueto) supports him with a bright and honest personality, despite complaining at times.
One day, Hanzawa receives a forceful directive from the branch manager Asano (Kanji Ishimaru) to secure a 500 million yen loan contract from Nishio Osaka Steel. Moreover, despite being a new client, the conditions are "unsecured."
This loan helped the Osaka West Branch achieve its sales target, earning it the prestigious "Best Branch Award" for the first time. However, Nishio Osaka Steel, which appeared to be a good company, was secretly burdened with enormous debt, and its fraudulent financial statements to hide this were uncovered.
Just three months after the loan, Nishio Osaka Steel suddenly went bankrupt. As a result, Tokyo Central Bank was defrauded of the entire 500 million yen loan amount. Branch Manager Asano, who is obsessed with career advancement, schemed to blame everything on Hanzawa.
Daiwada (Teruyuki Kagawa), who achieved an unprecedented rapid rise to executive director at Tokyo Central Bank, is also involved in the scheme.
Tokyo Central Bank was formed by the merger of city banks suffering from massive bad debts accumulated during the bubble period. Within the bank, there were factions from the former "Industrial Central Bank" and the former "Tokyo First Bank," engaged in fierce power struggles.
Executive Director Daiwada is from the "Industrial Central Bank," and Branch Manager Asano is also from the same bank. Meanwhile, Governor Nakado (Kinya Kitaoji), from the "Tokyo First Bank" faction, advocates for internal harmony and struggles to quell faction conflicts.
Hanzawa, called to Tokyo Main Branch for an investigation into the failed loan, openly opposes his superiors who try to shift all responsibility onto him, and declares his intention to recover the 500 million yen.
Because that was the only way for Hanzawa to survive as a banker.
