戸時代中期1707年（宝永4年）の大噴火で誕生した宝永山。その大きな火口-宝永火口-を摸したくぼみをこしらえました。くぼみはグラスを持ちやすいように親指がちょうど収まるようにデザインしております。
富士桜（別名：マメサクラ）は、富士山やその山麓に自生する品種で、花弁は五枚一重になっております。富士山と同じく日本の象徴ともいえる富士桜を一枚ずつ丁寧に切子で仕上げました。切子はグラスを持つ際に滑り止めにもなります。
1956年（昭和31年）に田嶌松太郎氏が東京都江東区に硝子食器製造工場として創業した「田島硝子株式会社」。
1962年（昭和37年）に現在の江戸川区松江に自社工場を設立し、業務用のタンブラーやワイングラス等を作り始めて以降、半世紀にわたり時代に合ったガラス製品を一つ一つ熟練した職人の手づくりで丁寧につくり続けている硝子メーカーです。
長年培われてきた製品開発力や技術力を礎に、 日本の手づくりガラスの魅力と文化を未来に継承されています。
