A nostalgic scene of Kyoto played by Pokkuri GetaThe feet of a maiko walking gracefully through the geisha district are adorned with pokkuri.
Pokkuri, a type of high-soled footwear, makes it difficult to take large movements. They play a role in creating the "hannari" (elegant and bright) and graceful gestures of a maiko.
Enjoy a moment of peace with this woodblock print depicting a charming, rounded form.
**Hand-rubbed woodblock prints with the warmth of handiwork**This is a "hand-rubbed woodblock print" by Takezasado, a long-established shop in Kyoto. Using traditional hand-rubbing techniques, each piece is carefully printed one by one, allowing you to enjoy a unique texture found nowhere else.
The size is slightly larger than a postcard. It is perfect for tabletops, shelves, or small wall spaces, and can be easily displayed anywhere.
**Recommended for:*** Those who want to incorporate the soothing warmth of Japanese style into their daily lives.* Those looking for small art pieces that evoke the atmosphere of Kyoto.* Those who want to enjoy art even in limited spaces.
The "Pokkuri" woodblock print is not just a decoration, but an art piece that delivers a quiet Kyoto time and the artist's thoughts to your daily life. Every time you look at it, your heart will feel at ease, bringing "quiet healing" to your routine.
Please welcome it into your home and enjoy its warm and gentle world.
**As a gift to add color to daily life**Works filled with the warmth of Kyoto and the artist's passion are perfect for small presents. They are also appreciated as housewarming gifts or casual gifts for friends.
**About the Materials**The woodblock print uses a smooth, white washi (Japanese paper). It is a material suitable for woodblock printing, offering excellent color reproduction and durability.
It is created using "hand-rubbed woodblock printing," a traditional printing technique where patterns carved into wood are colored onto paper one color at a time.
