"Hanaka-ppa," a TV anime that began airing on NHK Educational TV in April 2021 and is currently broadcast six days a week on NHK E-tele. This popular TV anime, based on the picture book of the same name by Tadashi Akiyama, depicts the heartwarming daily lives of a kappa family and their friends, on whose heads flowers bloom. A new opening and an ending theme were added on March 3, 2015. "Su-ma-i-ru," the opening theme that delivers a gentle warmth to children nationwide, is sung by Mone Kamishiraishi, who makes her artist debut with this song. The ending theme is "Tomato-tto...? Togarashi ~Yasai Shiritori~," a vegetable word chain that is easy for everyone to sing along to, with interjections from Hanaka-ppa and Momoka-ppa. It is sung by Shinji Kakishima with Hanaka-ppa and Momoka-ppa.
