パレンシア地区もその一つで、パレンシア地区及びその周辺（マタケスクイントラ地区）で
生産される良質コーヒーに『ゴールデンパレンシア』と命名しています。
生産地区について
パレンシア地区はグアテマラシティーから東へ約
30km（車で１時間程度）に位置しています。東側はハラパ県
のマタケスクイントラ地区に隣接しています。パレンシア地区・マタケスクイントラ地区ともに、コーヒー栽培
に良質な土壌と天候に恵まれ、また
SHB規格の高地でコーヒー栽培が行われています。
『リオコロラド農園』について
今年の『ゴールデンパレンシア
SHB』はパレンシア地区にある『リオコロラド農園』の原料を使用しています。
リオコロラド農園は、
1920年に設立され、3世代続く農園です。
初代農園主はこの地にコーヒー栽培をもたらしたパイオニアで、周辺農家に土地や苗木を分け与え、農業指導を
行い、この地にコーヒー産業を広めていきました。
グアテマラで最初に自然保護区に指定されたエリアにある為、農園の敷地のほとんどが自然林です。コーヒー栽
培面積140haに対し敷地面積が1,165haあり、農園内に小川が流れるなど自然豊かな美しい農園です。
