Greenpan is a Belgian brand that developed the world's first non-stick cookware without using fluororesin.
Greenpan was developed by Belgian Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman.
Research began even before advanced countries like the U.S. publicly announced that overheating traditional fluororesin coatings releases toxic substances, and long before industry insiders were aware.
They sought a new, safe coating for the human body and the environment, working together with researchers to develop it.
Ceramic coatings, used as smoke-proof materials, are known for their high heat resistance and non-release of harmful substances. Repeated experiments were conducted to see if this could be processed into kitchenware.
