「ザ・クルー」はプレイヤーが協力してミッションの達成を目指すカードゲーム（トリックテイキング）です。プレイヤーは宇宙船の乗組員（クルー）となり、他のプレイヤーと協力して、宇宙空間を舞台に５０ものミッションに挑みます。ミッションに応じてカードの出し方を変えていき、最終的には第９惑星を発見するという壮大な物語になっています。物語を追っていくのも楽しい、また初心者でも楽しめるゲームです。
◆遊び方
各プレイヤーは配られたカードを、ミッションの「特定の条件を満たす」ようにカードを出していきます。ミッションを達成すれば全プレイヤーの勝利、失敗すると全プレイヤーの敗北となります。
◆「会話ができない！」が面白い
忘れてならないのは、ゲームの舞台が宇宙なので会話ができないということです。プレイ中、手札を教え合うこともできず、出して欲しいカードを指定することもできません。どうすれば各プレイヤーが条件を達成できるのかを推察しながらゲームを進めることになります。何とか意思疎通を図って、ミッションをクリアできた時の“達成感”がクセになる！ 推測力と協調性が試されるゲームです。
◎“トリックテイキング”とは？
トリックテイキングは、トランプルールの１つ。「ナポレオン」や「ハーツ」といったゲームが有名です。各プレイヤーが順番にカードを出していき、一巡したら勝負。一番強いカードを出した人が勝ちます。
