Tantan came to Japan in 2000 as a symbol of recovery, healing people hurt by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Her adorable appearance shone brightly on those who were feeling down due to the disaster, and she lived to be 28 years old (nearly 100 years old in human years).
Despite facing numerous hardships, such as the sudden death of her offspring and heart disease, Tantan's determined life, supported by two zookeepers, gave people courage and hope. This is a moving documentary that looks back on Tantan's days in Kobe, accompanied by extensive footage captured behind the scenes.
