Product Name:
Gold-Decorated Ruri Glaze Sugar Pot

Product Description:
The gold-decorated Ruri glaze features a luxurious gold pattern and a mysterious color that can appear as a deep navy or a vivid blue depending on the light.
Once you hold one piece, you'll find yourself wanting to collect other ceramics from the series and arrange them on your table—this series is highly addictive and enchanting.

The sugar pot, used for holding sugar, can be used daily for your own use or when serving beverages to guests.
When displayed together with the coffee set from the same series, it creates a very festive and luxurious atmosphere on the table.

... Creates a beautiful golden shine ...
The gold decoration in this series is made with a gold liquid composed of pure gold micro-powder dissolved in camphor oil.
By firing at 779°C, the camphor oil burns off, leaving a gold film that adheres firmly, producing a beautiful golden luster.

Kyō-yaki pottery kiln "Koh Saburō Kiln," which has been operating in Kyoto for over 50 years.
The kiln master studies and researches craft arts from all over Japan and the world, creating what is called the "Koh Saburō World."
The works produced with unique techniques are loved by many people.

【Before Use: Recommended Preparations】
Soak the item in water for a while, then wipe off the moisture before using it for cooking or serving drinks.
This helps prevent staining and makes it less likely to absorb liquids.

【Regarding Variations in Products】
Each item is handmade, so even with the same design, there are individual differences in weight, size, color tone, and shape.
Please enjoy a one-of-a-kind product that is truly unique in the world.

【What Koh Saburō Kiln Values Most】
- The design is "original."
- It embodies the energy found in primitive art from early human history.

Koh Saburō Kiln’s works are highly appreciated by many customers.

People say things like:
- "It tastes better when drunk from this cup."
- "Just having it on the table makes it lively and comforting, and it gives me energy."

Such reactions motivate us both domestically and internationally.
As a practical tableware kiln, we focus on creating:
- "Easy to use and durable"
- "Powerful, fun, and comforting original designs."

【Production Techniques】

(Unique Techniques)
Having studied and researched craft arts from all over Japan and the world, we create the "Koh Saburō World."

For example:
- Color Painting
- Unlike typical color painting, which fills in the outlines heavily, Koh Saburō Kiln applies a technique inspired by watercolor painting, creating soft, faintly fragrant effects.

- Underglaze Blue (Sometsuke)
- Usually, underglaze blue is painted with cobalt pigment and then glazed and fired.
- At Koh Saburō Kiln, the painting is done on top of the glaze before firing.
- During firing, the melted glaze incorporates the cobalt pigment, resulting in a very soft and delicate finish.

Both techniques are highly delicate and difficult, and each piece is a unique work of art created by the master of the era.
