◉ Basic Use of Iron Frying Pan
- After use, while the pan is still warm, wash it with hot water using a scrub brush or similar, without detergent. Using detergent will remove the oil coating. After washing, heat the pan to evaporate any remaining water. Soaking is strictly prohibited as it will cause rust.
- As you use it, the oil coating may gradually wear off, potentially leading to rust. After washing and drying, apply a thin layer of oil before storing. You don't need to apply oil every time; applying it occasionally when you notice it is sufficient. However, be sure to apply oil if you will not be using it for a long period.
- If there is heavy soiling, wash with detergent. In this case, be sure to heat the pan to evaporate water before applying a thin layer of oil.
- If food burns onto the pan, do not scrape it off with hard metal objects. Add hot water, bring it to a boil, soften the burnt-on food, and then scrub it off with a scrub brush.
- The main causes of burnt-on food are insufficient preheating before cooking or the oil not being sufficiently seasoned into the frying pan.
Hoki Kurayoshi produced many famous swords using tamahagane, made from iron sand from the San'in region since ancient times. Inheriting this technology, in recent times, we have supplied Kurayoshi products nationwide through the production of items such as rice reaping sickles. Our company supplies high-quality products to the market through this traditional blacksmithing technology, equipment, and research and development.
