Introducing a stylish pair of dessert knives and forks with mother-of-pearl handles from French antiques.
The silver ferrules, featuring an elegant acanthus leaf pattern typical of French design, serve as a beautiful accent.
The tips of the forks have a charming, slightly flared tulip-like design. The knife blades are also of a small, lovely size, making these charming cutlery pieces. The mother-of-pearl handles emit a smooth, beautiful light from within.
The blades and forks are marked with the Minerva 2nd standard mark (800/1000 purity) indicating the silver purity, as well as the silversmith's mark. In France, hallmarks are not required for parts, so the ferrule is not marked. However, if the blade or fork parts are made of silver and bear a hallmark, the parts are understood to be silver.
Although the items showed little signs of use overall, they have been professionally polished by a craftsman. The mother-of-pearl is also in very good condition with no noticeable scratches or chips.
Dessert knife and fork sets with mother-of-pearl handles made in France are very rare. Please consider this opportunity.
*We have 6 pairs available. There are slight variations in weight, but the condition of the items is consistent.
