1990年にリリースされたフレンチ・アコーディオン~オリジナル・パリ・ミュゼット1~はフランスのレコード大賞、アカデミー・シャルル・クロのグランプリを受賞し、フランスは元より、世界中で大ヒットしました。そしてそれに続けてリリースされたのが本作です。
1992年秋から制作がスタートしました。パリ・ミュゼット1に参加していないアコーディオンの名手達にも声を掛け、音楽的なコンセプトを“マヌーシュ(ジプシー)とスウィング"にする事になりました。パリ・ミュゼット1同様、ミュゼット・ギターの名手、ディディエ・ルーサンとディディ・デュプラの素晴らしい伴奏を得て、パリ左岸6区のセーヌ通りで録音されたのが本作です。
